"A Dose of Hope vs. Alzheimer's" That's what the headline read just today in the 'USATODAY' Newspaper. Since so much research is now being done in this field, and since so much of what they are finding out in the new research, can be applied to motivation, memory, achievement, and many aspects of life-successes, we very carefully read and follow up on anything on this subject. I strongly believe that what science finds as the cause and how to treat Alzheimer's can be modified and used by you to gain a new level of achievements for yourself and your family. I will therefore read and review everything we can get our hands on. This particular article will require some deeper looking for us. The USATODAY is a great paper, but none of their articles and news go into any depth in their reporting. On the surface, at least the information seems promising. There is research being done on a new vaccine, developed by Elan, the Irish Drug Company.which not only can prevent Alzheimer's (in preliminary tests, but also may reverse some of its effects if caught early enough. However there has been some nasty side-effects (severe brain inflammation, which of course can't be tolerated.) The research is being done in Europe at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. We will see if we can find any citations from this research, read all we can and get back to you on this one! Editor's Note: On the same page in today's USATODAY,as the above article is an ad for "Focus Factor", which they claim , "has vital nutrients that work with your natural brain chemistry, to support your memory, concentration and focus." Any subscriber who has any info on this stuff, send me an email and tell me what you think of it! (If you're a long term subscriber, I bet you know what I think of it.) 2. 10 things you ABSOLUTELY MUST DO if you want science based success and riches. Are you ready? It's about time to take some of this neuroscience learning you've been doing and put it into practical terms and applications. So here we go! 1. From now on, every time anyone asks you how you are, the out loud answer is always and forever a very, very positive positive! [Great! Terrific! Fantastic!] NO MATTER HOW YOU REALLY FEEL! It doesn't matter! You are trying to change you! FOREVER! 2. From now on, you commit to taking full and total responsibility for your circumstances, your results and how you feel! It will never again be the fault of any one else's brain cells but your own! 3. From now on, you will never stop learning new things! 4. From now on, you will stop yourself from completing any and every negative thought or words, and turn them into a positive, before you go on to anything else! 5. From now on, you will never again, complete a day in your life, without having done something new, strange, crazy, silly, out of the box, embarrassing, or that is otherwise "not like you". 6. From now on, you will never again, set a goal without putting it down in writing. 7. From now on, you will never complete a day without failing at something important. 8. From now on, you will never complete a day of your life, without telling at least two people that you love them. (one should always be you, even if you don't believe it yet!) 9. From now on, you will never complete a day of your life, without doing an exercise regimen for your brain or your body. (preferably both!) 10. From now on, you will stop and look to see what everyone else is doing, and then choose to probably do the opposite! Book Review and SCIENCE SECRET FOR SUCCESS. We are going to combine our book review, a little Q and A with our third lesson on Self-Motivation News. This past week, I got an email question from one of our new subscribers and new friend, Bob Collier. [Free every weekend. http://www.topica.com/lists/pintel/read] Bob had purchased our Annotated Bibliography of over 200 books and research reports on self-motivation science and the brain, and was reading our hand-written notes and summary of one of my favorite books, "Mind Management, by Dennis Deaton. In my notes I mentioned that Deaton gave the ULTIMATE BIG SECRET OF SCIENCE of page 169 of that book. But I did not spell out that Secret. Bob wrote and asked me what it was! This is tooooo important for anyone of you to miss, so here is my reply back to Bob: Here it is Bob! But I don't just share this with anyone! So don't tell anybody! ;-) Whatever you dwell on in the conscious brain=think about most=dominant thoughts): The nonconscious brain acts on! In other words, once the nonconscious brain is stimulated to fire its neuron patterns with a dominant thought coming form the conscious brain,it goes to work creating pathways forward (designing solutions.) AUTOMATICALLY! Sometimes these ingenious "ideas" suddenly pop into center stage! Sometimes this solution arrives unexpectedly or at inconvenient times, BUT IT ALWAYS COMES! (ed. Note: Sometimes we don't always recognize it Because our attitude gets in the way. dwb) The nonconscious brain has delivered a plan (neurode pattern) developed in Response to a prior dominant thought. "Our nonconscious genius works constantly. It operates so automatically, We take it for granted. But stop for a minute. Think of what a marvelous Prerogative you possess. YOU CAN FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION ON ANY SUBJECT YOU WISH--SELECT ANY TOPIC--ANY SUBJECT--AND BY PONDERING AND MEDITATING UPON IT, YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL FORTH LIGHT AND INSIGHT (GENIUS) ON THAT PRECISE ISSUE!" There it is! Use it Wisely!! :-) Gosh, do you all see how important it is to know that, use that, trust that? SCIENCE FOR SUCCESS TECHNIQUES TIME-TABLE Our next topics for your time-table or Schedule for Success with the 12 Science for Success Techniques is S4S Technique # 4: INNERSTATES. Innerstates are the affirmations, self-talk, incantations, that you must repeat over and over to yourself. These statements, as you have learned in our prior Newsletters and in the 7 MiniScience Lessons, trigger the formation of new DSP connections in your brain to form new neurode patterns that are positive and will automatically fire in your brain to take you to your highest levels of success. How long does this take? Science research has indicated that it takes anywhere form 21 to 40 days to form sufficient numbers of new neurode connections for your brain to turn this 'dream' into the truth. This varies, depending on the emotion you are able to trigger while learning, and several other factors. But generally, if you repeat your Innerstates, 3-5 times per day, EVERY DAY for 30 days, enough DSP connections will be created to assure your success. You will need some maintenance on down the road that we will tell you about in S4S Technique #8. But it has been shown that these new connections can be strong enough, if you say them with emotion, (that's why you are in front of the mirror. If you see and hear yourself saying what in the beginning is not yet believed by you and therefore a lie, this causes the emotion you need to make the neuron connections strong! Next time we will talk about how you can speed up and strengthen this permanent self-motivation science-based process, by "Triggering a Thunderstorm" while you learn. How long should you do that?
